# Integrations: Connect Piper to Your Revenue Tech Stack

> Connect Piper to your CRM, phone system, Slack, Zapier, WhatsApp, and more — and control how data flows between every tool in your revenue stack.

Piper connects to the tools your revenue team already uses — your CRM, your phone system, your messaging apps, and your automation layer. Each integration is designed so that data flows automatically after every call, without requiring any manual copy-paste between systems. Find all integration settings under **Settings → Integrations**.

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="CRM">
    Piper integrates natively with **HubSpot**, **Salesforce** (including a **Salesforce Sandbox** option), and **Pipedrive**. After every processed call, Piper can create a meeting record, fill deal and contact fields, and push notes — all without leaving Piper.

    ### What CRM sync does

    For every call, Piper:

    * Creates a **meeting record** in your CRM (with notes, attendees, duration, and outcome set to `Completed`)
    * Fills configured **Deal fields** with values extracted from the transcript
    * Syncs **notes** to the associated Contact, Company, and Deal records

    <Note>
      Piper never overwrites an existing CRM value. When updating a field, Piper computes the new value by combining the current CRM value, your configured field prompt, and the transcript — so no existing context is lost.
    </Note>

    ### HubSpot

    **Prerequisite:** At least one Piper Admin must also be a Super Admin in HubSpot.

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Open the HubSpot integration">
        Go to **Settings → Integrations → HubSpot**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Authenticate via OAuth">
        Click **Connect** and complete the OAuth flow. You'll be redirected to HubSpot to authorize Piper.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Configure fields and AutoSync">
        Once connected, go to **Settings → Meeting Types → \[type] → Fields** to select which CRM fields Piper extracts and whether each field AutoSyncs after calls.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    ***

    ### Salesforce

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Open the Salesforce integration">
        Go to **Settings → Integrations → Salesforce**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Authenticate via OAuth">
        Click **Connect** and complete the OAuth flow. Salesforce occasionally drops its connection — if you see a **Reconnect with CRM** banner, return here and reconnect.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Configure fields and AutoSync">
        Configure field extraction and AutoSync per Meeting Type under **Settings → Meeting Types → \[type] → Fields**.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    <Warning>
      Salesforce connections can drop when the OAuth token expires. Piper now detects expiration automatically — if your connection drops, you'll see a **Reconnect with CRM** banner in **Settings → Integrations**. Click it to re-authorize and restore syncing.
    </Warning>

    ***

    ### Pipedrive

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Open the Pipedrive integration">
        Go to **Settings → Integrations → Pipedrive**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Authenticate via OAuth">
        Click **Connect** and complete the OAuth flow. You'll be redirected to Pipedrive to authorize and install Piper.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Configure fields and AutoSync">
        Configure field extraction and AutoSync per Meeting Type under **Settings → Meeting Types → \[type] → Fields**, exactly as you would for HubSpot or Salesforce.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    ***

    ### CRM AutoSync

    AutoSync controls whether Piper pushes data to your CRM automatically after every call or holds it for manual review.

    Enable per Meeting Type: **Settings → Meeting Types → \[type] → toggle Fields Auto-Sync**.

    There are three AutoSync categories:

    | Category                    | What it syncs                                                    |
    | --------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
    | **Notes** | The meeting summary pushed to Contact, Company, and Deal records |
    | **CRM Fields** | Structured field values extracted from the transcript |
    | **Logged Meetings & Calls** | The meeting record (attendees, duration, outcome) |

    When AutoSync is **disabled**, Piper holds all proposed updates in review mode. Open the Transcription page to inspect what Piper would write, then approve individual field updates by clicking the **green arrow** button next to each one.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Phone">
    Piper integrates with **Aircall**, **Ringover**, and **HubSpot Call** to automatically capture, transcribe, and process your phone-based conversations.

    ***

    ### Aircall

    Aircall integration works at the phone number level — Piper processes calls from the specific numbers you connect, not by user account.

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Add numbers in Aircall Dashboard">
        In the **Aircall Dashboard**, go to **Integrations → Piper AI → Add Numbers** and select every number whose calls Piper should capture.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Match callers to Piper users">
        Piper matches the caller's email address to a Piper user account. Ensure your Aircall users have email addresses that match their Piper accounts.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Calls process automatically">
        When a call ends on a connected number, Piper downloads the audio, generates a transcription, applies notes templates and CRM field extraction from the matched Meeting Type, and creates the follow-up email draft.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    **Assign Meeting Types by Aircall tag:** Piper automatically assigns a Meeting Type when an Aircall call's tag name matches one of your Meeting Type names — name the tag and the Meeting Type identically (e.g., a `Support` tag routes to a `Support` Meeting Type) and no further setup is needed. This takes priority over Piper's usual Auto-Assignment rules. See [Meeting Types → Aircall Integration](/settings/meeting-types#aircall-integration-assign-by-tag) for details.

    **Troubleshooting Aircall:** If calls aren't appearing in Piper, the most common cause is a missing number. Return to **Aircall Dashboard → Integrations → Piper AI** and confirm every number you want processed is listed. Remember — numbers must be explicitly added; new numbers are not picked up automatically.

    ***

    ### Ringover

    Ringover connects to Piper similarly to Aircall. Contact your Piper admin or Piper support to configure your Ringover integration and connect your numbers.

    ***

    ### HubSpot Call

    If your team makes calls directly through HubSpot's built-in calling feature, Piper can capture and process those calls through the HubSpot integration. Ensure your HubSpot integration is connected (see the CRM tab) — no separate setup is required for HubSpot Call.

    <Note>
      Piper's HubSpot Call capture reacts to any HubSpot Call record that gets a recording, including recordings placed there by other tools (e.g. Aircall's own native HubSpot connector) — not only calls made through HubSpot's own dialer. If the same call also reaches Piper through its direct Aircall integration, you'll get two separate Activities for it. See [Troubleshooting CRM Sync](/troubleshooting/crm-sync) if you're seeing duplicates.
    </Note>
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Notifications & Messaging">
    Piper keeps your team informed through **Slack** and lets reps interact with Piper via **WhatsApp**.

    ### Slack

    Connect Slack to receive Piper notifications in your workspace — either as direct messages or in a designated channel.

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Connect Slack">
        Go to **Settings → Integrations → Slack** and click **Connect**. Authorize the PiperAI Slack app in your Slack workspace.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Choose notification destination">
        By default, Piper sends notifications as DMs via the PiperAI Slack app. You can switch this to a designated Slack channel if you prefer team-visible notifications.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    **What Piper sends to Slack:**

    * **Call processed** — when a transcription is ready, with the AI summary, call score (if scored), CRM links, and links to open the transcription and follow-up email
    * **Meeting prep ready** — the pre-call brief Piper assembles ahead of an upcoming meeting
    * **Scheduled agent results** — the output of your scheduled [Agents](/agents/overview) when a run finishes

    Notifications can be delivered as a direct message from the PiperAI app or to a designated channel. Calls set to **Private** skip shared-channel notifications.

    <Note>
      Piper does **not** expose its AI in Slack. You cannot ask Piper questions or query transcriptions through Slack messages — every Slack message is a one-way notification with buttons that link back into Piper. For conversational AI access, use the **Chat tab** inside Piper or connect via **WhatsApp**.
    </Note>

    ### WhatsApp

    WhatsApp lets reps interact with Piper's AI directly from their phone — ask questions about deals, pull up call summaries, or get coaching on the go.

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Enable WhatsApp">
        Go to **Settings → Integrations** and toggle **WhatsApp** on.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Select country and enter your number">
        Choose your country from the dropdown, enter your WhatsApp phone number, and click **Confirm**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Verify your number">
        You'll receive a WhatsApp message with a 6-digit verification code. Enter the code in the modal and click **Confirm**.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    To disable WhatsApp, go to **Settings → Integrations** and toggle WhatsApp off.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Automation">
    Piper connects to **Zapier** to send call data to 8,000+ apps — CRMs, project management tools, data warehouses, custom webhooks, and more.

    ### Zapier

    Zapier integration works through API keys. You can generate multiple keys — one per team, workflow, or integration — and assign each key to specific Meeting Types so only the right calls trigger the right Zaps.

    <Tip>
      Want an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT to read your Piper data directly instead? See [MCP](/settings/mcp) — a different kind of connection, configured in your AI tool rather than in Zapier.
    </Tip>

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Generate an API key">
        Go to **Settings → Integrations → Zapier** and click **Generate API Key**. Copy and save it.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Install the Piper app in Zapier">
        Visit the Piper Zapier Marketplace listing and install the app:

        [Install Piper on Zapier →](https://zapier.com/developer/public-invite/225464/e1e3e7e33fbb723e8a26d1fd7555dc0b/)
      </Step>

      <Step title="Build your Zap">
        In Zapier, create a new Zap using Piper as the trigger app. When prompted, paste in the API key you generated.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Enable Zapier on a Meeting Type">
        Go to **Settings → Meeting Types → \[type]** and enable the Zapier toggle. Select the API key you want this Meeting Type to use.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    <Tip>
      Create separate API keys for different teams or regions (e.g., one for your SDR team's outbound calls, another for your CSM team's onboarding calls). Each key can trigger a different Zap with different downstream actions.
    </Tip>

    **Common Zapier use cases with Piper:**

    * Push call summaries to a Notion or Confluence knowledge base
    * Create follow-up tasks in Asana or Monday.com after demos
    * Send deal field updates to a data warehouse
    * Trigger Slack alerts in custom channels based on call outcomes
    * Sync data to a CRM not natively supported by Piper

    ***

    ### Webhooks

    Send Piper events directly to your own HTTPS endpoint — no Zapier account required, no API to poll. Available to **Super Admins**. See [**Webhooks**](/settings/webhooks) for setup steps, event types, and signing/verification.
